As far as fish & chips take out goes this was really good! The fish was super fresh & there was plenty of it! The squid was super tasty & pretty cheap. If you want take out this is a must!

Excellent fish, with a wide range available, including many locally caught fish, Hook and Cook is a local institution.
The salt and pepper squid was very pleasant - ours was eaten up almost instantly.
The chips were acceptable, but nothing special.
The queue can be big and beware that they close at the listed time - which means they stop taking orders up to an hour earlier! -

Fish and chips shop in the Tea Gardens area. Service with a smile and the decor is sooooo cute! Had some deep fried goodness (though if my memory serves me right, you can also ask them to grill it.) Servings are pretty big sized and good value for money. Eat in, or take your food outside to enjoy the Tea Gardens view.
